Welcome to my page!
I am currently an STScI Postdoctoral Fellow working on large scale structure studies and understanding the effects that the environment has on galaxy formation and evolution. I have spent a significant portion of my early career understanding how to efficiently create catalogs of deep space based data, e.g. the Hubble Frontier Fields, which have included source detection and extraction, ICL+BCG modeling, and multi waveband homogenization.
I am also particularly interested in combining different data in interesting ways (e.g. deep space based Hubble Frontier Fields data with wide-field ground based data from the Dark Energy Survey) to understand the connection between properties at large and small scales, specifically as it relates to the relationship between light and dark matter.
Previously, I was a graduate student FIELDS fellow at the University of California Riverside working with Dr. Bahram Mobasher, and am currently a Visiting Scholar at Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory, collaborating with Dr. Brian Nord.
I am also heavily invested in outreach, currently serving as a support astronomer for the remotely accessed Stone Edge Observatory, which allows for interaction with students across the world. I also led many programs at Yerkes Observatory and currently continue helping with the Yerkes Education mission at GLAS Education
In my free time, I enjoy photographygraphic design, and knitting!
